The fact of the matter is that turning your website into a must visit place takes a lot of hard work to drive traffic there and there is no guarantee that it will last. But you are still determined and you believe in your product. So what is the next step in getting your website and your blog read by millions instead of hundreds every day?
The first thing is content. This seems silly that you wouldn’t have content on there but this is the one thing that you cannot be without. You must add content to your website every single day because without it there is nothing that is going to make people come to your site. If you take a look at the top websites in the world, anything that you visit frequently, you do it because there is a constant movement in the content of the site. If it’s a sports website, it has constant news updates and real-time scores, making it so you come back because you know the content changes.
Certainly if you have a smaller website and it’s manned by maybe you or you and a friend, then you probably don’t have the resources to put up a post every 5 minutes but what you should be striving for is a post once or twice a day. This way people can learn to count on the posts coming up regularly. This will keep them coming back. Of course it does you no good unless you will be posting high quality content. If you are willing to post good things consistently, then you should get the traffic you are hoping for.
