If you are running a sports website, you know this can be one of the most challenging websites to run, especially when your sport is in season. There is an endless amount of content and news that can be going up and it’s tough to keep up, especially when you have a normal life and you are rather busy with it. But that doesn’t mean your site has to suffer and that doesn’t mean that you can’t make your blog or website one of the best things in your field. There are some things, however, you should keep in mind that will help you with your sports blog.
1. Get Help – Finding some writers would make your life easier. It might seem difficult to find writers when you can’t pay them anything but there are ways to get them to come aboard and write for you so that you can keep generating content even when things are hectic in your life. The idea is to get as many writers as you can.
2. Generate Timeless Posts – Sure there will be content that is relevant to the actual sport on a day to day basis but then it’s a good idea to just generate stuff that can be talked about at any time during the season. That’s the kind of stuff that you want to wait for and hold on to during a slow news day and something that can still use to generate traffic.
3. Pre load posts – Get posts started for stories that haven’t been written yet. This way when you do get to it, you have cut the time in half. You can input the text and fix the time and date stamp and you will be ready for the next piece of great content on a great website.
